Looking for something to do this weekend? Outdoor swimming competitions are always fun, and it doesn’t get much bigger than the Apple Capital Swim Meet at the Wenatchee City Pool. 803 swimmers ranging from ages 5-54 will be competing Friday afternoon, all day Saturday and well into Sunday. Right next door at Recreation Park, the Apple Valley Packers Senior American Legion Baseball Tournament runs Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. 10 teams from throughout the state will be on hand, with games also taking place at Paul Thomas Sr. Baseball Stadium at Wenatchee Valley College. And Saturday night at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval, the popular “Bump to Pass” Invitational will be joined by the West Coast Stock Cars and 4 local classes.
