The Pacific Northwest Interclub Skating Championships will be held at Town Toyota Center Friday thru Sunday, August 8,9,10. The event is being hosted by the Wenatchee Figure Skating Club. 220 skaters from Alaska, Washington and Oregon have registered for the competition, which will include beginner skaters in Basic Skills through senior level and adults, ages 3-29+. Events will include Short Programs, Free Skate, as well as Pairs, Short Dance and Free Dance. Participating in this year’s PNIC Championships are the 2014 Northwest Pacific Regional (NWP) Intermediate Champion, Kaylee Elliott, and Cheyenne King, Juvenile Champion and 10th place finisher at the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, both from Lilac Figure Skating Club in Spokane and both competing at Intermediate Ladies.This year’s competition will also be a part of the National Solo Dance Series Event for US Figure Skating. This event is an opportunity to showcase the various levels in solo dance and with competitors gaining points to be eligible for the National Solo Dance Championships to be held September 17-20, 2014 in Colorado Springs, CO.This is the 41st year of the PNIC Skating Championships and the 1st time that it has been hosted by WFSC. Admission is free to the public, with competition running Friday 9:00am-9:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-7:00pm and Sunday 8:30am-2:00pm.WFSC will also be host to the 2015 Northwest Pacific Regional Championships at Town Toyota Center October 5-7, 2014.
