Airplanes, farmer’s markets, First Fridays! Looking for something fun to do this summer? Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or stopping through on a road trip, Wenatchee offers a lineup of can't miss free events for the whole family.
Here’s your guide to Wenatchee’s best summer events:
June 20, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Ready for lift off? Head to East Wenatchee's Pangborn Memorial Airport for this high-flying family-friendly event honoring Wenatchee's iconic aviation history. You can expect hands-on aviation booths, Japanese cultural booths, live music, face painting, food vendors, and the chance to get up close to some amazing aircrafts. The event was created to celebrate the first non-stop trans-Pacific flight by Clyde Pangborn and High Herndon in 1931, whose plane took off from Misawa, Japan, and crash landed in East Wenatchee. The Wenatchee Valley has been connected to Misawa and the aviation world ever since.

June 20, 11 AM – 6 PM
Celebrate Pride Month at Wenatchee’s Lincoln Park, a fun, family-friendly celebration of love, identity, and community. The event will include local vendors and artists, live entertainment, food vendors, and activities for all ages. This annual event is a space to celebrate LGBTQIA2S+ community members, uplift local voices, and create a welcoming environment. Come as you are, bring your friends and family, and celebrate!

July 3, 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM & July 4, 9:00AM – 10:30 PM
Spark up some fun with Wenatchee’s annual 4th of July celebration, a two-day long event with live music, movies in the park, beer gardens, and of course – fireworks! Celebrate early by joining the festivities on July 3rd, which includes beer gardens, live music, and a movie in the park to cap the night off. Start off your Independence Day celebrations on the morning of July 4th, which kicks off with a car show, then grab a bite for lunch at one of the various food vendors and enjoy your food in front of the live entertainment stage. Don't miss the cornhole tournament in the afternoon before grabbing a seat in the park for the fireworks at sundown.

Every first Friday of each month
First Fridays is a monthly celebration bringing together a variety of festivities to make the end of the week even better. Celebrate the Wenatchee community with live music, art walks, and look for specials at shops and restaurants. The best part? Each First Friday is a little different. Make sure to check out the First Friday's website to see what’s in store for the next upcoming event, and mark your calendars for MusicBox in August, a celebration of local music featuring local bands, creatives, drinks, art, and more!
Saturdays, 8 AM – 1PM
Stroll through Wenatchee’s Farmers Market – North Central Washington’s largest Farmers Market – on Saturdays from May to October. The farmer's market is the perfect way to start off your summer weekend. Enjoy live music while you shop for locally produced fruits and veggies, handmade goods from local artists, and artisanal foods like bread, cheese, and honey. Bring the whole family and make sure to check out the Kids Market!
