As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisper, the anticipation for winter sports reaches a fever pitch in Wenatchee, Washington. At the heart of the excitement stands the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Team, a fixture in the community for sports enthusiasts. The 2023-2024 season has just begun, and the schedule promises a plethora of fun nights out on the ice, with something for everyone.

The Wenatchee Wild is a junior ice hockey team that competes in the Western Hockey League(WHL). Founded in 2008, the Wild has honed the skills of emerging talents of young players from all over the country. Many players have been invited to NHL training camps since the team was formed, and about a dozen have been drafted by the league.

The Wenatchee Wild has planned an array of exciting events and promotions to make the upcoming season a memorable experience for fans of all ages. Some highlights include:

Themed Nights: From '80s Retro Night to Military Appreciation Night, the Wild have created opportunities for anyone to get involved with the sport. Fans can join in the fun by dressing up and participating in themed activities. There’s even a Star Wars night, both a Mother-Son and Father-Daughter event and a Teddy Bear Toss.

Opportunities for Youth: Wolfie’s Pack Kid’s Club is a fun opportunity for kids 16 and younger to sign up for perks throughout the season including a membership certificate, a private kids’ day with Walt, the mascot, a Wild locker room tour and much more. Young kids can also sign up to be an Honorary Captain throughout the season or attend Dance Camp on December 17.

Adopt-A-School: Schools and businesses in the Wenatchee area can work together as an opportunity for students to attend a game with their school and businesses to promote their services to attendees. This program includes website recognition, jumbotron recognition, social media announcements, and more.
