Wenatchee is known as the Apple Capital of the World, but spend time downtown and walk along the Columbia River, and you’ll quickly see it is also home to a thriving art scene. From vibrant local artist focused First Fridays to permanent outdoor sculptures, creativity is alive and well here.
Whether you’re an art lover or simply looking for a fun night out, there is something for everybody!
First Fridays: A Downtown Celebration of Art, Music, and Community
On the first Friday of each month, downtown Wenatchee comes alive with local art, music, and creative energy. No two First Fridays are exactly alike, with participating venues changing month to month. Yet, there are a few regulars each month, one being the must-visit Two Rivers Gallery. The gallery is a cornerstone of Wenatchee’s art scene showcasing rotating exhibits by local and regional artists. At Pybus Market, don’t miss Art Alley, which features a new artist each month and offers opening receptions on First Fridays.

Public Art: Sculpture Walks + Outdoor Inspiration
Wenatchee’s free outdoor gallery wanders through the Apple Capital Loop Trail and downtown area with abstract metal artworks and thought-provoking installations. You can follow along with an interactive public art map that helps you locate and learn about each piece along the way.
Thanks to Art on the Avenues, a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing accessible, public art to the community, Wenatchee now boasts over 100 public sculptures scattered throughout the city.
Artisan Days at Pybus Market
Just steps from the riverfront and downtown, Pybus Public Market adds yet another dimension to Wenatchee’s art scene with its Artisan Days, held Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. throughout the year. Dozens of local artists and makers fill the market with handcrafted goods, artwork, jewelry, textiles, and more.
Pro tip: Pair your art browsing with a locally roasted coffee, snack or lunch from one of the restaurants for the full Pybus experience.
When you visit Wenatchee, you’ll find that the city’s creativity is just as abundant as its natural beauty. So, bring your curiosity and sense of wonder – we'll see you downtown!
