Fall in Wenatchee is a treat for everyone. With crisp air and golden leaves, it’s a beautiful time to get outside. Washington’s longest loop trail is located in Wenatchee: The Apple Capital Loop Trail. Whether you’re walking, running, or biking, here are some of our favorite stops along the route. Grab your pumpkin spice latte and let’s enjoy the trail together!  

Parks & Sightseeing

Confluence State Park
This riverside park offers scenic river views, open lawns, and shaded picnic spots. Perfect for capturing fall colors and enjoying the outdoors.

Horan Nature Preserve
Within Confluence, this peaceful gravel trail winds through cottonwoods and willows, great for a quiet walk or casual birdwatching.

Walla Walla Point Park
A riverside hub in the heart of town, Walla Walla Point features courts, trails, picnic shelters, and plenty of open green space.

Wenatchee Riverfront Park
Home to a new apple-themed playground and a splash pad, Riverfront Park is a great stop for kids or anyone wanting to enjoy the river.

Hale Dog Park
Let your four‑legged companion stretch their legs in the 2+ acre off‑leash area along the riverfront!

Public Art Along the Trail
Wander through the trail and you might just notice some fun sculptures and artworks along the way – these are part of Wenatchee’s free outdoor art gallery consisting of over 100 sculptures! Use the interactive public art map to learn about each piece along the way.

Snack, Coffee & Quick Bites

Mountainside Bakery
This beloved local bakery in downtown Wenatchee offers flaky pastries, cinnamon rolls, and house‑roasted espresso - a cozy stop right off the trail.

 

Loop Trail Cafe
Perfect for a trail-side pick-me-up: grab breakfast sandwiches, homemade soups, baked goods, or espresso to go and keep moving.

 

Pybus Public Market
Wenatchee's beloved and vibrant open-air marketplace. Stop by Café Colombia for coffee, Huck’s for huckleberry waffles, and wander through artisan shops.

 

Little Red’s Bakery & Espresso
Just outside Pybus, Little Red’s serves espresso drinks and grab-and-go breakfast items - a convenient first (or last) stop on the trail.

 

Trail Note: The Apple Capital Loop remains closed at both access points to the Clark Pipeline Bridge and across the bridge itself until approximately November 2026. All the stops listed above are still accessible from the Wenatchee side - only the full loop is affected. Learn more about detour options here.
