Something exciting is brewing across the river. East Wenatchee is getting ready to open its own creative and entrepreneurial hub: The Trades District – a new commercial space designed to support startups, makers, and small businesses as they grow.
Here’s a peak at the first wave of confirmed businesses coming to The Trades District (and yes, you can expect even more to roll in!).
If you’ve been craving a new spot to relax with a cold beer or cider (or glass of wine), Cascadia Tap House is about to hit the spot. With a goal of giving back to the community, founders Austin and Andrea Wuttke plan to feature special promotions to groups like first responders and teachers while also creating a safe space for English-learners by having bilingual staff and Spanish menus. Plus, expect fun events and plenty of outdoor seating.
What started as a production-only winery in 2020 is now expanding into its first tasting room. Founded by locals Tyler and Sarah Armour, the new space will include outdoor seating, entertainment, and special events. Armour Wines is known for their whole-cluster, unfiltered and minimal intervention wine produced here in the Wenatchee Valley.
Founded by Karen MacPhail, Lilies of the Valley collects and repurposes donated floral arrangements to bring comfort and joy to those facing hardship – including funerals, hospital stays, weddings and more.
Juan Lopez launched Ruah Shirt Co. in 2015 and is now opening its first commercial space. The new space will offer screen printing, embroidery, custom graphic design, apparel decoration, and more.
Viva Creative Studio will be hub for content creators like podcasters, photographers and more, with networking and other arts and community events. The founders, Mayra and Amanda Eaton, envision it as a community space where creatives can connect, collaborate, and network.
The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the first phase of the Trades District is on August 20 at 10AM. Learn more about the project here.
