When everyday life starts to feel nonstop, sometimes all you need is a short, refreshing escape - no flights, no extra vacation days, and no over-the-top planning required. If you’re in Seattle or anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, Wenatchee might just be your new favorite winter weekend getaway. Whether you’re chasing fresh powder, exploring winter trails, or simply looking to slow down with good meals and warm drinks, Wenatchee delivers.

Here’s your 48-hour winter itinerary for making the most of a winter weekend in the Apple Capital of the World.

Friday Afternoon

3:00 PM – Check-In: Welcome to Wenatchee! Time to settle into your hotel. Downtown options like the Coast Hotel or The Hilton Garden Inn put you close to the Columbia River, local dining, and winter strolling.

4:30 PM – Explore Downtown: Bundle up and take a relaxing walk through downtown Wenatchee. Browse local shops, admire public art, and enjoy the quieter charm that winter brings to downtown. We suggest stopping at the Visit Wenatchee Visitors Center & Tasting Room first to explore which stops you might want to take along your walk.

6:00 PM – Dinner at Pinnacle Beerworks: Enjoy dinner at Pinnacle Beerworks, a local favorite known for excellent craft beer and standout sandwiches. Their signature Mortazza sandwiches are a must-try and pair perfectly with a fresh pint.

7:30 PM – Games & Drinks: Keep the evening going with a visit to Epoch Game Lounge for drinks, games, and a laid-back downtown atmosphere.

Saturday

8:00 AM – Breakfast at the Wild Huckleberry: Start your day at The Wild Huckleberry, a beloved downtown breakfast spot perfect for fueling up before heading to the slopes. After your meal, be sure to browse the downstairs boutique for locally made gifts and souvenirs.

9:00 AM – Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort: Spend the day at Mission Ridge, just 20 minutes from downtown Wenatchee. With over 2,000 acres of terrain, light dry snow, and plenty of sunshine, it’s one of Washington’s best winter destinations for skiing and snowboarding. Grab lunch on the mountain at Chair 5 Pub before heading back to town.

6:00 PM – Dinner & Wine at Circle 5 Winery: After a day on the slopes, cozy up at Circle 5 Winery, a local winery perched atop a hillside overlooking the valley. In the winter, you can rent one of their famous heated snowglobes, perfect for sipping wine and taking in the winter scenery in a private, magical setting.

Sunday

8:30 AM – Breakfast at Pybus Public Market: Start your final day at Pybus Public Market. Grab breakfast or coffee while exploring local vendors, artisan goods, and specialty shops.

10:00 AM – Winter Hiking or Snowshoeing: Wrap up your weekend with a winter walk or snowshoe adventure.
